What if the next of kin do not all agree on how to proceed with arrangements?
If more than one person shares the same legal role, such as several adult children or siblings (see the next of kin hierarchy here), the majority must agree for us to proceed with cremation arrangements.
For example, if the next of kin are three adult children, in order for us to proceed, two of the three children must agree and sign off on cremation arrangements.
Disagreement within families can be an extremely stressful and challenging part of the process. We are here to support you and your family as best we can, while adhering to legal requirements. If the majority cannot agree, we will unfortunately not be able to proceed with cremation.
