Why can't you order a death certificate for me?

In some areas, we are unable to order death certificates on our families' behalf.

Generally this has to do with the verification and online system your local county clerk uses.

For most areas we serve, we leverage a state-wide centralized system. For municipalities that do not use this system, we are unable to obtain certificates on your behalf.  

If we cannot order on your behalf, we’ve included instructions on how to get a certified copy of the death certificate from your local county clerk in your Family Portal.

If you purchased any death certificates through us before we realized this issue, we will of course refund the cost of those, as well as the the copy included as part of your package, if we have not already.
